| Details: Position Summary:  The Maintenance Manager at Sara Lee's pie plant located in scenic Traverse City, Michigan provides overall leadership for all aspects of production maintenance, building and grounds maintenance, fork truck maintenance and maintenance stores for the facility, including ongoing implementation of TPM. This position establishes department priorities and manages department budgets to deliver maximum impact. This position is responsible for developing and training maintenance supervisors and ensuring maintenance supervisors and their crews have good work plans in place and are delivering against those plans.  Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ensures all maintenance related projects and work are in compliance with standards set by FDA, OSHA, SQF, HAACP and any additional governing agencies by which we manage our business. Allocate limited resources to ensure that production lines are performing at standard efficiency and throughput and that food plant GMP, food safety and physical safety standards are met. Prioritize department and customer requests and needs. Manage people to deliver highest priority needs. Keep the organization informed regarding the status of planned activities. Manage the department budget. Optimize spending on people, parts and services to deliver maximum impact. Partner with Plant Management and Human Resources to set stretch performance goals and developmental objectives for the maintenance team members. Conduct annual and mid-year performance reviews. Promote team based problem solving involving department supervision and bargaining unit employees on how to best to react to change. Develop and maintain good labor relations within the department. Communicate changes and/or decisions that could impact, positively or negatively, on the labor climate.
